About the workplace

Jobbcentrum is a unit within the area of Employment and Support in the Social and Care Administration of Hudiksvall Municipality. Here we work with labor market issues, financial assistance, settlement and reception of newcomers, as well as the municipal activity responsibility.

Our mission is to create conditions for inclusion, self-sufficiency, and participation in society. We work in teams where social workers and coaches collaborate to provide coordinated and cross-professional support.

The unit has two main missions:

• To support, motivate, and coach individuals towards independence, work or studies, and self-sufficiency.
• To investigate and make decisions about financial assistance to ensure a reasonable standard of living in the meantime.

Job responsibilities

As a social worker with us, you will work with authority exercise within financial assistance. You will investigate, assess, and make decisions according to applicable legislation and ensure a legally secure and professional handling.

The work involves both qualified investigative work and close meetings with people in various life situations. You need to be able to apply the legislation correctly, make independent assessments, and express yourself clearly and accurately in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

You will document in the operational system Treserva and collaborate both internally within the municipality and with external actors.

Recruitment is ongoing, and we place great emphasis on personal suitability. A probationary employment may be relevant.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or an equivalent bachelor's degree. Experience in authority exercise, preferably within financial assistance, and good knowledge of relevant legislation is desirable.

You have good digital skills, are used to working in various systems, and have good knowledge of the Office suite. Experience with Treserva is an advantage.

As a person, you are structured and have the ability to make well-founded decisions even under time pressure and with sometimes limited information. You are attentive, respectful, and have a genuine commitment to social work. You also enjoy working flexibly in a changing organization.

About the administration

We are here for people. We offer various types of support to children, young people, families, and adults who in some way need our interventions. We provide individuals with the support they need to then move forward to work, studies, or otherwise get help to develop. We take care of our elderly when they need support in their daily lives. We are one of the few municipalities in Sweden that has a consolidated social service. This means that authority exercise as well as treatment and supportive interventions exist within the same administration. We see this as an enormous strength.
